What is Natural Soap Made Of?

Do you know how natural soaps are made? At Nice Soap we make our soaps from scratch using an ancient soap making method of saponification. This method goes back as early as 2800 B.C.!

Saponification is the chemical reaction that occurs when fats or oils (fatty acids) come into contact with an alkali (or a base.) and it literally means "soap making. Traditionally animal fats are used to make soap however, we at Nice Soap choose to only use pure vegetable oils.

Our unique recipes are brimming with a gorgeous blend of vegan butters and oils such as Shea butter, Coconut oil, Olive oil, Jojoba oil and Castor oil. This formula helps our soaps keep their shape and gives them their luxuriously rich lather leaving your skin feeling nourished and moisturised.

Do we use palm oil?

Heck no! While palm is ironically the most efficient oil on the planet to produce, at this point in time there is no way to reliably source sustainable palm oil and current production is causing absolute devastation.

With animals, forests and people being negatively affected by palm oil production, we have remained committed to staying free from palm oil and its derivatives.
